Bookmarks
Bookmarks save a snapshot of your current map state so you can return to it later. A bookmark captures your map position, zoom level, visible layers, panel layout, and more.
Bookmarks Panel
The Bookmarks panel is in the right sidebar (East panel), accessible via the Bookmarks tab alongside the Workspaces & Layers tab.
Toolbar
| Button | Description |
|---|---|
| Add () | Create a new bookmark |
| Save Current State () | Quickly save the current map state as a bookmark |
| Refresh () | Reload the bookmarks list |
Search
Use the search bar to filter bookmarks by name.
Creating a Bookmark
- Set up the map the way you want to save it — position, zoom, layers, panels
- Click the Add button or Save Current State in the bookmarks toolbar
- Enter a name and optional description
- Click Save
The bookmark captures your current state automatically.
What a Bookmark Stores
| Element | Description |
|---|---|
| Map centre | Longitude and latitude of the map centre |
| Zoom level | Current zoom level |
| Base layer | Which base layer is active, including opacity |
| Overlay layers | All layers with their visibility, opacity, and active state |
| Panel states | Which panels are visible (data grid, layers, options) |
| Street View | If Street View is open, its position, heading, pitch, and zoom |
| Active templates | Current filter, sort, and edit template selections |
Bookmark Cards
Each bookmark is displayed as a card showing:
- Name and description
- Coordinates and zoom level
- Layer count
- Last updated timestamp
Restoring a Bookmark
Click the Restore button () on a bookmark card to return to that saved state. Restoration:
- Loads all layers from the bookmark (with their original visibility and opacity)
- Sets the map centre and zoom level
- Restores panel visibility (data grid, layers panel, options panel)
- Re-opens Street View if it was active (same position and camera angle)
TIP
Restoring a bookmark replaces your current workspace layers with the bookmark's layers. Make sure to save your workspace first if you have unsaved changes.
Editing a Bookmark
Click the Edit button () on a bookmark card to update it. Editing a bookmark:
- Opens the bookmark form with the existing name and description
- Merges the current map state into the bookmark — so the bookmark is updated to reflect your current view
- Click Save to apply
Deleting a Bookmark
Click the Delete button () on a bookmark card. A confirmation dialog appears. Deletion is permanent.
Pagination
If you have many bookmarks, the list shows a Load More button to fetch additional bookmarks.
